About Us

Stonegate Subdivision is a pristine wooded community nestled  in the caldera of Island Park.  The area known as Island Park is mostly a large crater or caldera named the Henry's Fork Caldera that was created by the same hotspot that created the earlier Island Park Caldera and the later Yellowstone Caldera. The most famous of Island Park's peaks, however, is the 9,886-foot (3,013 m) Sawtell Peak south of Henry's Lake near Mount Jefferson. The peak is known for its beauty and is named for a perceived resemblance to a Native American chief's profile while napping. The peak has also been called Chief Rains in the Face. Sawtell Peak is topped by a FAA radar dome and is a visible from nearly anywhere in Island Park.
The Stonegate Subdivision was developed in the year 1997.  We have 260 lots and currently there are about 120 homes built. We are a community free of nightly/transient rentals to preserve the tranquility of the neighborhood.
Island Park, Idaho…Home of the Henry’s Fork River and gateway to the Madison River and West Yellowstone, MT. Here you will experience mild summer temperatures, countless wildlife sightings, world-renowned fly-fishing, and lake fishing. Hunting, hiking, biking, canoeing, and all manner of recreational activities are available. The area is famous for its 600 miles of groomed snowmobile and cross-country skiing trails.
